Today’s Cardiovascular Technologists are an important part of the cardiovascular care team. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will conduct or assist with diagnostic testing on patients’ pulmonary and cardiovascular systems. These tests include cardiac catheterizations, pulmonary functions and lung capacity.
Cardiovascular Technologists work in hospitals, physicians’ offices, educational facilities, noninvasive cardiovascular labs, mobile diagnostic units and other settings.
Hospitals are the primary employer, but employment is expected to grow more rapidly in physicians’ offices and medical diagnostics laboratories.
