Cardio Technician

Cardio Technicians assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems. Cardio Techs perform tests to determine the condition of a patient’s coronary arteries and heart.

TRAINING CENTER PROGRAMS

Cardiovascular Technology-Cardio Technician

Students will be trained to work in cardiac catheterization laboratories utilizing x-ray and monitoring equipment to perform sophisticated tests to determine the condition of a patient€™s coronary arteries and heart. They will also be trained to work in a cardiology laboratory where electrodes, microphones, and ultrasound equipment are used to determine the condition of a patients€™s heart without invasive procedures.

Pre-requisites required:
Applicants must apply for Northwest admission and be accepted before completing a Health Science Application. Have an ACT Composite Score of 18 or above. Complete prerequisite courses, BIO 1513 & 1511-Anatomy & Physiology I & Lab.
