TRAINING CENTER PROGRAMS
The Industrial Maintenance Trades curriculum is a career— Technical program designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as multi-skilled maintenance technicians. Industrial maintenance trade technicians are responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining and repairing machinery used in the manufacturing or industrial environment. Students receive basic instruction in a wide variety of areas including safety, machinery maintenance and troubleshooting/service, blueprint reading, basic welding and cutting operations, basic machining operations, fundamentals of piping and hydro-testing, and fundamentals of industrial electricity.

Selective admission programs have a limited number of openings each year and have specific entry-level admission requirements that must be met before selection for admission to the program. Those who wish to apply must complete an online selective admission application for the Industrial Maintenance program and have taken the ACT and Workkeys test. Maintenance Technology program offers both a Technical certificate and an associate degree (AAS) option that provide individuals with the basic skills and concepts necessary to install, operate, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated systems and equipment in large commercial, medical, institutional, and industrial workplaces. By obtaining the associate degree, graduates gain a competitive edge by also being prepared to manage resources and plan for the future. The number of elective hours in the second year, as well as the availability of online or hybird course offerings, allows a student seeking an associate degree to tailor courses to meet his/her specific career goals

The Industrial Electronics Engineering Technology program, located on the Senatobia campus, focuses on fundamentals of electronics and related mathematics. The program offers comprehensive, theoretical and practical knowledge of electronics technology. It also explores the hardware and programming aspects of controllers used in industrial processes.
