TRAINING CENTER PROGRAMS
Surgical Technology is an instructional program that prepares an individual to serve as a member of a surgical team. The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Surgical Technology will be awarded to the successful graduate of the 24 month program and graduates of the 12 month program will be awarded the Certificate of Surgical Technology. Qualified graduates may apply to the Association of Surgical Technologies for the National Certifying Examination and become a Certified Surgical Technologist.

This clinical, hands-on program, offered on the Jefferson Davis Campus beginning each fall, is a one-year intensive that prepares students to enter operating rooms as a surgical technologist. As a surgical technologist, youll assist physicians, anesthesiologists, and registered nurses during operations. Surgical Technologists are well-paying positions, and the industry is growing.
