Lays out, builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, missile control instrumentation, electron tubes, test equipment, and machine tool numerical controls, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic and electrical testing, and physics: Discusses layout and assembly procedures and problems with ELECTRONICS ENGINEER and draws sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.

TRAINING CENTER PROGRAMS

System Based Electronics Engineering Technology[E/M]-Electronics Technician

Systems Based Electronics Engineering Technology is designed to prepare students for employment in positions working with electrical and electronic equipment. The program trains students with skills needed in working with design engineers in development stages as well as product development, testing and production. An Associate of Applied Science degree is earned upon successful completion of the program.

Pre-requisites required:
Attain a 17 composite score on the ACT; Score a 69.5 or higher on the ACCUPLACER Reading Section and a 62.5 or above on the Algebra Section; Earn a C or above in Intermediate English and Reading (ENG 0124) and demonstrate competency for Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1233); Complete 15 semester hours with a C average or above from an accredited college or university and demonstrate competency for Intermediate Algebra (MAT 1233)
