TRAINING CENTER PROGRAMS

Welding and Cutting Technology*-Welder | Welding Instructor

Welding & Cutting Technology is a one-year (for credit) certificate program designed to prepare a student for employment and advancement in industrial plants and construction companies. This certificate program is well-grounded in fundamental job competencies that emphasize various kinds of welding and cutting applications. The program is located in the Structural Steel Welding and Cutting Technology Center, next to Riley Workforce Development Center. The welding center is fully equipped with state-of-the-art training equipment and a highly capable staff.

Pre-requisites required:
Attain a 16 composite score on the ACT; or Score a 61 or higher on the ACCUPLACER Reading section and a 43 or above on the Algebra section; or Earn a "C" or above in Math for Occupational Education (CTE 1113); or Complete 15 semester hours with a "C" average from an accredited college.
