Job Description
In today’s highly automated and mechanized manufacturing sector, skilled professionals are needed to monitor and maintain industrial scale equipment to keep processes going. And when necessary, rapid response is needed to repair broken parts. In any business, revenue comes from production, and when manufacturing processes stops, revenue ceases. Industrial maintenance technicians are needed to avoid disruptions in production.
Training Opportunities
The Industrial Engineering Management Technology program is designed to prepare students to meet the growing demands of industry for employees with expertise in manufacturing processes, statistical quality control, production management, automation, and computer-aided manufacturing.

Students receive instruction in a wide variety of areas including safety, machinery maintenance and troubleshooting/service, blueprint reading, basic welding and cutting operations, machining operations, pipefitting, mechanical systems and industrial electricity.
Pre-requisites required:Applicants must apply for East Mississippi admission and be accepted. This program requires an ACT Score of 16 in the Composite and Math areas as well as a Silver Certificate on the Work keys exam. A passing score of 55% on the BMCT (Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test) is also required.
Length of Program:2 year technical program
Summary of Program Requirements:Applicants must apply for East Mississippi admission and be accepted. This program requires an ACT Score of 16 in the Composite and Math areas as well as a Silver Certificate on the Work keys exam. A passing score of 55% on the BMCT (Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test) is also required.
Skills NeededMathematics, hand bending, tubing, clean purge, and test tubing and piping systems, instrument drawings and documents (part one), conductors and cables, and conductors terminations and splices.
Students receive basic instruction in a wide variety of areas, including safety, machinery maintenance and troubleshooting/service, blueprint reading, basic welding and cutting operations, basic machining operations, fundamentals of piping and hydro-testing and fundamentals of industrial electricity.
Pre-requisites required:Application deadline is May 30th. Must be accepted to ICC prior to completing a Toyota AMT application. Applicants must have a Silver Level CRC. ACT subscore in Math will be factored into selection process.

The mission of the Industrial Maintenance Technician Program is to provide a solid foundation to help students acquire the competencies necessary for success in the maintenance occupation. An Industrial Maintenance Technician is a specialist who possesses detailed knowledge of several technical subjects and applies this knowledge in an industrial environment to preserve and maintain industrial systems. The Industrial Maintenance Program integrates electrical and mechanical elements. The program offers an Associate Degree.
