Emergency Medical Technician

This is a one semester (16 week) certificate program designed to prepare students for employment as an Emergency Medical Technician in a medical transport facility or agency. Application must be completed by July for admission to the fall class and by December for the Spring class.

"Students who apply for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Program must meet the following requirements: Completed application Official copy of high school transcript or Official GED passing scores Copy of Official ACT score (if not on the high school transcript) Test for Adult Basic Education Test (TABE) scores with a minimum of 10 in Math and Reading** Copy of Drivers License Social Security Card Immunization Record showing: MMR Hepatitis B series (can be completed after entry to program) Varicella or chicken pox shot or titers (can be completed after entry to program) 2-step TB skin test Flu Shot *Criminal Background and Drug Screen will be required upon admission"
