Job Description
Network and computer systems administrators are responsible for the day-to-day operation of an organization's computer networks. They organize, install, and support an organization’s computer systems, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.
Training Opportunities
The Computer Networking program offers training in telecommunications, network administration, and client/ server systems. Students are prepared to work with internal and external clients, vendors, and other information technology professionals, requiring the ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical language.

Employment opportunities vary in different careers such as PC/network technician, network administrator, computer consultants, and network security analysts. While enrolled in the Information Systems option at ECCC, students will have the opportunity to earn the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+.
